An observation on the 0-60 times. I have been reading up about it all morning. C&D estimate appears optimistic. Around 6.5 seems to be the consensus on the forums. It’s 600Lb heavier than the Accord which has a 0-60 of around 5.7
and the transmission seems to be wonky that is also a factor especially when using paddle shifters.
But reviews say it handles and rides better, and put down the power better than the Accord because SH-AWD.
In short, it’s good. Not great.
Guess you’ll have to go for the Type-S for to unlock the full potential of this new platform

I have an irrational hatred of those sensor panels in the grill with the printed logos on them. They can make them look decent in press photography, but they look TERRIBLE in real life.

Yeah, the FP review was bizarre. One Jalopnik writer drove it, than another Jalo pnik writer interviewed him and wrote the article.
Seems a bit........... inefficient.

If AWD and the newer interior with the ELS sound system is not important to the buyer there’s no point over Touring Accord 2.0T you can get for $36K vs. this for around $45K

The Type-S is obviously the one to get if you are an enthusiast. I’ll reserve judgement until that one comes out.

I think that if that’s the case, the prospective buyer probably isn’t at the Acura dealer in the first place?

Watching the first video, it seems like Acura did what it needed to do. It made a great looking car that will not be mistaken for a Honda and fixed the biggest knock on Acuras, which was that they were supposed to be a luxury brand that didn’t feel ve ry luxury.

It should have been Evil Jalopnik interviewing Good Jalopnik.
